There’s a Place for You in This Work.
Brainplate Grows works because people save scraps, move materials, turn compost, grow plants, teach skills, and share local knowledge.
Pick the entry point that fits you now. Current opportunities change with the season and the project’s capacity.
Choose your way into the loop.
Volunteer — Help move and turn compost, prepare Bucket Farm Friends kits, support gardens, or lend a hand at an event when workdays are active.
Partner a food business — Restaurants, caterers, bakeries, coffee shops, and food producers can ask whether their scraps and pickup needs fit the current bicycle route.
Save household scraps — Northside Community Compost accepts food scraps at the Northside Farmers Market during market season. Ask what is accepted before bringing material.
Bring useful skills or materials — Hauling, bike support, tools, food-safe buckets, plants, design, translation, and event help may all be useful at different moments.
Share future program interest — Schools, colleges, events, and community groups can tell Brainplate what compost or urban-growing education would be useful as plans are developed for summer 2027.
